Along with claims of damage to electrical facilities in Bandar Abbas during U.S. attacks against the Islamic Republic, the Ministry of Energy asked citizens to “manage electricity consumption by turning off air conditioners for one hour” and help with the stability of power in southern regions of the country.
According to the weather report, the provinces of Khuzestan, Bushehr, Hormozgan, the south of Kerman, the south of Fars, and parts of Sistan and Baluchestan are still the hottest areas in the country, and in some places the maximum temperature reaches around 48 to 50 degrees Celsius.
Before the U.S. attacks, the country was already facing a severe electricity shortfall, and the residential sector was experiencing power outages.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy’s public relations department on Friday claimed that, as a result of the attacks, damage was done to power lines in Bandar Abbas and nearby villages, and that in some areas the power has been restored and conditions have reached a stable state.
