🔺Amnesty International calls for a criminal investigation into 87 officials of the Islamic Republic for crimes against humanity
◾Amnesty International, in a report marking the fourth anniversary of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” uprising, identified 87 officials of the Islamic Republic for a criminal investigation into their possible responsibility for crimes against humanity.
◾The organization warned that many of those in charge of suppressing the 1401 protests still hold the machinery of state repression, and some have been promoted.
◾The more-than-1,000-page report “Architects of Atrocities” is based on interviews with 270 people, including protesters, former detainees, the families of victims, and medical personnel.
◾Amnesty International also reviewed more than 2,000 videos, leaked documents, arrest warrants, court rulings, and forensic medical evidence.
