According to Haaretz, one week before October 7, in a phone call with Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, said that Yahya Sinwar, Hamas’s leader, was planning an attack on Israel, but Netanyahu did not take the warning seriously and did not inform Israel’s security officials and army. Netanyahu has denied the report and said that no such call took place; officials in the UAE have neither confirmed nor denied it and have only said that they exchange information with Israel on a regular basis. The report could affect the voting of the people of Israel in the election on October 27 (November 5). Report by Babak Eshaqi, a reporter for Iran International.
