⚡The U.S. president on Friday night, in a speech delivered on the eve of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, said: “To this place, the old world sent its bravest, boldest, most resilient, most hard-nosed, most faithful, and most freedom-loving men and women. They brought with them values, traditions, and customs that had been shaped over centuries in Britain, the roots of which even went back to Athens, Jerusalem, and Rome.”
