Samsung’s next-generation foldables may arrive with a significant imaging boost, according to a new leak. Reportedly, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 are being tested with a 200MP main camera, a notable jump that would put them among the most camera-focused foldables in the market.
The rumor also points to improvements in zoom performance, including a stronger periscope telephoto system for the Fold7. If accurate, that would help address one of the biggest limitations in premium foldables: hardware that often trails behind flagship slab phones in camera versatility.
The leaked renders suggest Samsung is preparing an incremental design update rather than a radical overhaul, but the camera changes could be the headline feature of the upcoming launch. Samsung is expected to unveil the new models in July, though final specifications could still change before then.
As with all pre-launch leaks, these details should be treated cautiously until Samsung confirms them. Still, if the reported upgrades hold, the Fold7 and Flip7 could strengthen Samsung’s lead in the foldable segment by pairing flexible designs with more competitive photography hardware.
