Fire department officials in Mashhad say that after the lower floors of an apartment hotel in Mashhad caught fire, rescue workers were able to safely evacuate about 300 people from the premises and put out the blaze.

The spokesperson for the Mashhad fire department said the location of the fire was an apartment hotel on Akhund Khorasani Street in the city.
