The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) organization, in the early hours of Tuesday, 16 Tir, announced that an oil tanker, about 15 kilometers east of Lima (Limah) on the coast of Oman, while moving southbound, was hit by a projectile of unknown origin from the left side of the hull. According to the organization, the incident caused a fire on the tanker, but so far no fatalities or environmental pollution have been reported. The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said that the relevant authorities are investigating the incident and advised all vessels to transit through the area with caution and report any suspicious activity to this organization.
