With the start of the naval blockade, the U.S. Central Command announced:

U.S. forces today, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern time, resumed a naval blockade against ships that are heading to Iranian ports or fleeing from them.

At present, more than 20 U.S. Navy warships and hundreds of fighter aircraft are deployed in the Middle East. U.S. forces are vigilant, ready, and prepared to respond to any threat.
