Rabiei’s complaint about the hardliners’ attacks on Pezeshkian, Iraqchi, and Qalibaf / The bitter memory of the stone-throwing at Martyr Larijani is still alive in people’s minds
Ali Rabiei wrote in Etemad: “From undermining managers who are active both in the field, in livelihoods, and in diplomacy in order to uphold rights, to stoning these individuals and inciting domestic tensions—such behavior should not be dismissed as insignificant or merely emotional.
It is strange that they close their eyes to this obvious truth: how the enemy drove Pezeshkian, Qalibaf and… to the brink of martyrdom, and only God’s grace was that, with the opening of a small opening, they were saved from certain martyrdom—yet they still remain exposed to assassination and martyrdom.
Any voice that diverts society from focusing on real threats and steers it toward internal hostilities essentially helps erode national unity; even if it presents itself under the guise of benevolence or social sensitivity.
In sensitive periods, the biggest mistake is for society to get trapped in tension-creating scenarios and waste its social capital in the arena of suspicion and internal score-settling.” / Etemad
