Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said that following an attack by the Islamic Republic, a fire has broken out at a power plant and desalination facilities.

Based on this statement, which Reuters reported, several power generation units have been taken offline. The ministry added that efforts to contain the fire and carry out repairs are underway.

Earlier, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense spokesman had announced that the country’s armed forces have intercepted hostile ballistic missiles and drones in the country’s airspace since early morning, and that a number of ground forces have been injured.
