The deputy governor of Hormozgan claimed that in the latest U.S. attacks, power facilities and desalination water pumps located at the pier of Bonji village, in the jurisdiction of Jask County, were hit by a missile.
It has been claimed that as a result of the attack on these facilities, the drinking water supply to several villages in the west of Jask County has been cut off.
Initial assessments are underway to evaluate the extent of damage and the effects of this attack, and efforts to stabilize the region’s drinking water situation have been initiated.
In the attacks of the past week, CENTCOM targeted hundreds of military-related sites in different areas of Iran, and at the end of its operation in the early hours of Saturday, CENTCOM announced that its monitoring and surveillance centers, military logistics infrastructure, underground ammunition storage facilities, and the Islamic Republic’s naval capabilities were targeted.
At the same time, the Islamic Republic, citing the targeting of infrastructure related to the United States in the region, has targeted various facilities in neighboring countries, and on Saturday it was announced that desalination facilities in Kuwait were among the targets of these attacks.
