Videos shared on social media show a car with a gathering of government supporters in Mashhad and running over a number of attendees.

The Fars News Agency, close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported citing traffic police and the Khorasan Razavi governorship that a Genesis vehicle on Vakilabad Boulevard in Mashhad, at high speed, veered off and collided with the gathering of people.

Fars wrote that four people were killed and more than 10 were injured in this incident. According to the report, the governor of Khorasan Razavi ordered immediate action to address the accident.

Earlier, the Telegram channel “Mersad Media” reported, by publishing three videos, on a car collision with a gathering in Mashhad, and wrote that a large number of people had been run over.

The Tabnak website, close to Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic, also claimed that the driver of the vehicle had been intoxicated. This claim has not been confirmed by other sources so far.
