🔶 عراقچی: Ukraine’s attack on an Iranian ship will not go unanswered

Abbas Araqchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, wrote on the social media platform X on Sunday, 4 Mordad, that Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, attacked an Iranian commercial vessel and that a sailor was killed in the incident.

Araqchi called the attack an “open violation of the United Nations Charter” and claimed that Ukraine carried out the action at Israel’s prompting.

He wrote that the aim of the attack is to draw Europe into Israel’s war.

The foreign minister of the Islamic Republic also said that in contacts with Kaya Kallas, the EU’s foreign affairs chief, and Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s foreign minister, he conveyed Tehran’s position.

Araqchi emphasized that in these contacts it was stated that Ukraine’s action against the Iranian ship “cannot remain unanswered”.
