🔸The U.S. Treasury Department says its network for combating financial crimes held a meeting with the participation of international financial institutions to strengthen the implementation of sanctions against Iran and efforts to limit Tehran’s financial resources.

🔸The ministry announced on Wednesday, the 25th of Shahrivar, that the meeting was held as part of a plan titled “Economic Expulsion Operations”—a plan whose goal is described as isolating the Islamic Republic financially and limiting Tehran’s ability to finance the war in the Middle East.

🔸In a statement, the U.S. Treasury Department said information was provided to financial institutions at the meeting which, according to the ministry, would help them block “income streams and supply networks associated with the Iranian government.”

🔸Two days earlier, Scott Bessent, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, as part of the economic pressure program on Iran known as “Economic Expulsion Operations,” asked all whistleblowers to provide the department with any information they have about “facilitators of Iran’s terrorism.”
