U.S. House Speaker says the issue of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons is “resolved” and that now we should lower the price of gasoline.

Mike Johnson said, “Iran will not have nuclear weapons. This has been one of the most important foreign policy objectives of the United States over the past half-century... This issue has been settled and now we should lower the price of gasoline.”

The price of a gallon of gasoline in the United States has risen from below $3.2 last year to nearly $4.4.

Donald Trump, the U.S. president, also on Wednesday evening, in response to a reporter’s question asking, “How would you describe the current state of the confrontation with the Islamic Republic?” said he hopes that “we are approaching the end of the war.”

Mr. Trump said, “They want a deal; we’ll see how things go.”
