🔸U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in the Middle East announced on the evening of Tuesday, September 10, that U.S. forces successfully carried out a wave of attacks against Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) military targets in Iran on Tuesday, September 10.
🔸In a statement, CENTCOM added that, in this operation, air defense positions, radar systems, naval equipment and installations, mine-laying capabilities, and the IRGC’s communications centers were targeted.
🔸The statement emphasized that these attacks were carried out following the IRGC’s recent efforts to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and U.S. military forces.
🔸A few hours before this statement, and at the same time as CENTCOM announced the start of the operation, Donald Trump, the president of the United States, also warned that if the Islamic Republic carries out retaliatory strikes, the United States will target Iran at a higher level.
🔸The U.S. president also warned that if the Islamic Republic responds to these attacks, the United States will attack “much more severely and at a higher level” again.
