🔺The dollar sets another historical record, reaching 231,000 tomans
▪ The price of the dollar in Iran’s free market reached 231,000 tomans on Wednesday, a figure that is 25% higher than a month ago and 125% higher than the dollar’s price a year ago. A year ago, at this time, the dollar was trading at about 102,000 tomans.
▪ The dollar closed two Saturdays ago at 206,400 tomans, and after that, it set a new record every day. On Sunday, the rate briefly passed 230,000 tomans, then retreated to 225,000 tomans with the Central Bank’s entry.
▪ In the coin market, the Imam coin reached 240 million tomans, the Bahar Azadi coin was priced at 236 million and 90,000 tomans, the half coin at 122 million and 400,000 tomans, and the quarter coin at 66 million tomans.
