▪ The price of the dollar in Iran’s free market during the first hours of trading on Saturday exceeded 226,000 toman and set a new record in the country’s currency trading history. On the same day, the dollar promissory note reached 231,000 toman.
▪ According to reports by gold and currency information websites, one British pound was traded at 307,000 toman, and the Emami coin was traded at 236 million toman.
▪ The dollar on last Saturday closed at 206,400 toman, and since then it has recorded a fresh record every day.
▪ The currency surge coincided with the intensification of the standoff between the United States and the Islamic Republic.
