🔸 Tesla began offering transportation services with its two-seater vehicle, the “Cybercab,” in limited areas of Austin, Texas, on Thursday, 12 Shahrivar.
🔸 The vehicle has been built without a steering wheel or pedals, and the U.S. vehicle safety agency has announced that it is investigating the matter.
🔸 Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, considers the Cybercab key to turning this company into one of the main forces in the autonomous-vehicle industry.
🔸 In the future, the vehicle is expected to be the main model in Tesla’s fleet of robotaxis.
🔸 Tesla currently offers limited robotaxi services with its self-driving Model Y vehicles, some of which have human safety observers. The company has not clarified whether using the Cybercab will involve a cost or whether all Austin users will have access to it.
🔸 Since the start of a pilot program in Austin in June 2025, Tesla has expanded these services to several other cities in Texas and Florida. Analysts consider self-driving cars important to Tesla’s future, because its electric-vehicle business faces global competition, especially from Chinese companies.
