🔻 Telephone conversation between Iran and Oman’s foreign ministers at the same time as reports of the presence of an Omani diplomatic delegation in Tehran

The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), IRNA, has reported that an Omani delegation has arrived in Tehran to negotiate regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

In an exclusive report, IRNA said that the Omani representative delegation traveled to Iran as part of consultations between the country and Iran to set up appropriate mechanisms for managing the passage of ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Strait of Hormuz has become Iran’s main bargaining tool in its peace talks with the United States, and Iran wants to establish a mechanism for managing transit in coordination with Muscat, which controls the southern coastline of the strait.

The trip of the Omani delegation to Tehran is taking place while a war between the United States and Iran is ongoing, and fresh efforts are being made to resume negotiations between the two countries.

According to some reports, a delegation from Iran visited Pakistan this week.
