SpaceX successfully added 23 more Starlink satellites to its broadband network after a Falcon 9 launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The mission marked another routine deployment for the company’s expanding satellite constellation.
After lifting off, the rocket’s first stage returned to Earth and touched down on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean. The recovery is part of SpaceX’s reusable rocket program, which has become central to lowering launch costs and increasing flight cadence.
The latest launch continues the company’s rapid pace of Starlink deployments as it works to build out global internet coverage. SpaceX has made frequent use of Falcon 9 boosters for both satellite launches and other commercial missions.
The flight adds to a growing network of low-Earth-orbit satellites designed to provide broadband service in areas with limited connectivity. No anomalies were reported in the launch or booster landing, according to the published report.
