SpaceX launched another batch of Starlink satellites on Sunday, sending 23 spacecraft into orbit aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The mission added to the company’s growing broadband network in low Earth orbit.
The rocket’s first-stage booster returned to Earth as planned and touched down on a droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. The landing marked another successful recovery for SpaceX, which regularly reuses boosters to lower launch costs and speed up its launch cadence.
Sunday’s flight is part of the company’s ongoing effort to expand Starlink coverage, which now supports customers in many parts of the world. The launch also highlighted the continued pace of commercial space activity from Florida’s Space Coast.
SpaceX has relied heavily on reusable rockets to make frequent satellite deployment missions routine. Each successful landing helps the company refine its launch system while keeping its internet constellation supplied with new satellites.
