Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry condemned attacks by the Islamic Republic in the region and said they violate the principles of international law, the UN Charter, the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the rules of good neighborliness.
The ministry referred to the Islamic Republic’s repeated attacks on commercial vessels and said these actions threaten maritime security and freedom of navigation and indicate “destabilizing conduct.”
Saudi Arabia was not targeted in the latest round of missile and drone attacks, but an oil tanker belonging to the country was damaged last week while passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
