Russia announced it foiled a terrorist attack in St. Petersburg
A Russian citizen who had been contacted by Ukraine’s intelligence services in order to earn money was providing them with information about military companies in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, and was also tasked by his handler with blowing up a vehicle belonging to one of the defense industry employees.
To that end, he took a bomb that had been embedded in a GPS tracking device from a hiding place. The accused decided to ride the metro with this bomb, but during a body search, the bomb was discovered and the police arrested him.
