Morteza Kazemian, a member of Iran International’s editorial staff, regarding Mohsen Rezaei’s latest remarks about creating a no-go zone in the Strait of Hormuz, said: “These remarks are a collection of incorrect and concerning claims; especially because they are made by one of the senior officials of the Islamic Republic and cannot be dismissed as merely a personal opinion. The claim that Iran’s oil continues to be sold normally does not match the available data showing a sharp reduction in exports, and the talk of replacing sea routes with land routes is also not realistic. At the same time, the threat posed by U.S. warships could entail heavy costs for the Islamic Republic.”
