🔸Mehdi Saeedi, on Wednesday, 18 Shahrivar, wrote in a message on his Instagram that security forces went to his brother’s place of residence on Wednesday and arrested him.

🔸He wrote that he has no information about the reason for the arrest or where Majid Saeedi is being held. The judicial and security authorities of the Islamic Republic have also not yet provided any explanation in this regard.

🔸Majid Saeedi had previously been arrested several times by the security forces of the Islamic Republic, including in Shahrivar 1400, when he had been detained in the city of Khoy while traveling to West Azerbaijan Province to prepare a report on the situation of Afghan refugees.

🔸He won the Lucas Dellega Association Award in 1392 for his photo series titled “Life in War,” which covers the lives of people in Afghanistan.

🔸This photographer, during the war between Israel and Iran, reported on how security forces treated him and other colleagues, and wrote: “They didn’t see us as heroes; they saw us as targets. We were prey, and some of us—like me—were truly hunted.”
