🔶 Jordan says it tracked five Iranian drones

The Jordanian army said on Tuesday, July 21 (Tir 30), that it had tracked five drones that were launched by Iran toward this country.

According to the state news agency Petra, the tracking of these drones resulted in no casualties or material damage.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also published a statement confirming the drone attack on Jordan and claiming that it targeted a “facility housing U.S. soldiers in the Rukban area.” In its statement, the IRGC alleged that several U.S. forces were killed in the attack, but this claim has not yet been confirmed by U.S. or Jordanian officials.

Jordan hosts U.S. military forces and aircraft on its soil, and with the escalation of clashes between the Islamic Republic and the United States in recent days, it has repeatedly been targeted by Iranian attacks. The Jordanian army had also said on Monday, July 20, that its air-defense systems shot down three Iranian missiles that had been fired toward the country’s territory.
