Joint U.S.-Jordan military drills titled “Eager Lion 2026” begin. This exercise, which is the twelfth joint drill between the two countries, began on Tuesday, 24 Shahrivar, in the U.S. state of Colorado, and will continue for two weeks.
The Jordanian Armed Forces, by publishing images, announced that the exercise will be held with the participation of the U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM, and as part of cooperation between the two countries.
Developing operational capabilities, improving the level of readiness, and exchanging experiences through training and planning, as well as increasing the ability to carry out joint operations, are among the goals of this exercise.
The exercise’s programs will include a range of joint trainings and activities in the areas of counterterrorism, air defense, maritime security, cybersecurity, and responding to disasters and crises.
