The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in a statement that the IRGC Aerospace Force “with several ballistic missiles” attacked an American aircraft carrier and a destroyer, which, according to the statement, “created trouble for Iranian ships and participated in a naval blockade.”

Without mentioning the names of the aircraft carrier and destroyer, the IRGC added that “after suffering damage and fearing a renewed attack,” they left the area.
