The Iraqi Embassy in Tehran announced that the crisis involving Iraqi students in the province of Semnan has been resolved and that they have been granted one month of academic leave.
According to Iraq News Agency, the embassy said in a statement: “A delegation from the Iraqi Embassy and the Office of the Cultural Attaché of Iraq traveled to Semnan Province in order to assess the situation closely and to directly monitor the students’ conditions.”
The statement added: “The delegation met with university officials, officials of Semnan Province, and other relevant parties, and discussed the consequences of this incident so that the security of Iraqi students is ensured.”
The Iraqi Embassy said: “This crisis has been fully contained, and Iraqi students have been granted one month of academic leave, which will help calm the situation and restore stability to the university environment.”
