🔶 Iranian Army: U.S. base in Bahrain targeted by drone attacks
IRNA news agency reported early on Friday, 26 Tir (17 July) that the Islamic Republic’s army said it targeted the location where U.S. Army reconnaissance aircraft and helicopters are stationed at the “Al-Sakhir” base in Bahrain with “suicide” (drone) munitions.
According to the army’s public relations statement, the attacks were carried out “in response to the hostile act of the enemy.”
In IRNA’s report, the suicide drones “Arash” targeted the locations of the helicopters and the P-8 reconnaissance aircraft of the U.S. Army at the Al-Sakhir base in Bahrain.
So far, the United States and Bahrain have not confirmed the claim made by the Islamic Republic’s army.
The Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, alongside the Islamic Republic’s army, in a statement also reported an attack by the Aerospace Force of the Guards on targets in Syria.
In its statement, the IRGC claimed that it has “full control” of the Strait of Hormuz and that “not a drop of oil or gas” from this region will be exported as long as U.S. attacks continue.
