The Houthis in Yemen attacked military targets in Saudi Arabia again on Monday with missiles and drones.

The Houthis said that they fired dozens of drones and missiles toward Saudi Arabia.

Following these attacks, Saudi civil defense forces issued short warnings in the cities of Khamis, Mushait, and Abha, near the Yemen border.

The Houthis have recently taken control of the Red Sea coasts and the Bab al-Mandab strait.

The importance of this sea route has increased in the wake of widespread disruption to ship traffic from the Strait of Hormuz during the U.S.-Iran war.

A resident of Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia told AFP that he heard the sound of “intense explosions” that caused fires that “continued for a long time.” He said, “Honestly, we couldn’t sleep at all.”

Meanwhile, Yahya Sareaq, the Houthi military spokesman, said in a statement on Monday that the Saudi air force, over the past 24 hours, targeted Yemeni territory using F-15 and Typhoon aircraft.

According to him, during these attacks, areas in Taiz, Lahij, Jouf, Marib, and Hodeidah were targeted.
