🔶 End of a new round of attacks by U.S. forces targeting sites in Iran
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said that on Sunday, July 12 (21 Tir), American forces brought an end to a new round of attacks on areas of Iranian territory using precision-guided munitions, striking dozens of targets across several locations.
The attacks were carried out with the aim of “reducing Iran’s ability to continue attacking international vessels transiting through the Strait of Hormuz.”
CENTCOM said the attacks “targeted Iran’s air defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, as well as small vessels.”
The statement emphasized: “The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global commerce. Iran does not control it.”
According to CENTCOM’s statement, the operation used American fighter jets, Navy vessels, suicide drones, and suicide unmanned vessels.
