Efran Qanei-fard, a Middle East analyst, said, referring to Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks about the overthrow of the Islamic Republic, that regime change in Iran has been turned into part of Israel’s security doctrine and the political structure governing Tehran is considered as the center of the threat.

He said that turning the weakness of the Islamic Republic into collapse requires multi-layered pressure, including disrupting the command structure and weakening the repressive apparatus, so as to provide the conditions for domestic protests and a split within the ruling system.
