🔶 Britain bans Iranian planes from landing on its soil
The British government has published new regulations to tighten sanctions against Iran. Limiting Iran’s access to the UK’s financial system, expanding bans on the trade of certain goods, technologies and services, and preventing Iranian aircraft from landing in Britain are among the items outlined in these new regulations.
Britain has said that aircraft landings will be permitted only if they meet the exemptions set out.
The proposal also gives the government more powers to target ships linked to Iran.
British officials say that these measures form part of a broader effort to counter the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program and other “hostile” activities.
