Bloomberg, in a report published on Monday, 16 Shahrivar, said the United States intends to propose referring the Islamic Republic’s nuclear case to the UN Security Council at this week’s meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna.

Bloomberg wrote that, based on a two-page draft resolution by the United States that it has seen, Washington is asking the Islamic Republic to “immediately remedy its instances of non-compliance” and to allow the necessary inspections to ensure “no diversion of nuclear material.”

According to Bloomberg, over the past 15 months, the Agency’s inspectors have been unable to examine the Islamic Republic’s stockpile of uranium and to confirm the location of uranium reserves enriched to a level close to what is required for the construction of a nuclear weapon.

The Agency has also been unable to verify the Islamic Republic’s activities at a fortified mountainous site in southern Iran at the main enrichment facility of Natanz. Inspectors have not yet been able to return to the damaged facilities at Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.

Last week, Donald Trump said he had raised the possibility of fresh attacks on nuclear facilities located deep underground and said the United States might target the Gazla ground-breaking “very soon.”
