Alireza Nouri Zadeh, director of the Iran and Arab Research Center, said the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, despite their apparent solidarity, are not fully united due to rivalries and political considerations. He added that if these countries are confident in the fall of the Islamic Republic, they will support it.
According to him, the United Arab Emirates and perhaps Qatar would prefer the Islamic Republic to remain weak but in place, but Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain want an end to the Islamic Republic.
