Alhurra, citing informed sources, reported that Faleh al-Fayadh, head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Authority, traveled to Turkey four months ago to explore the possibility of transferring his personal funds and assets to Turkey. Turkey has also not agreed to his request to transfer his assets.
These sources also said that due to al-Fayadh’s closeness to the Islamic Republic, pressures have been brought to bear on his financial activities in Qatar, and Doha has also opposed keeping his assets in that country.
