According to reports received by Iran International, the death sentence of Akbar Arabzadeh and his brother, Mehdi Arabzadeh, both among those detained during the December 2024 protests, has been confirmed.

These two brothers, from Ziar in the southern district of Barāān of Isfahan province, were arrested on Dey 20, 1404 (December 10, 2025) in the Chomran area of Isfahan by security forces, and after interrogation they were transferred to Handgard Prison in Isfahan. They were tried on charges of “waging war against God” and are still held in this prison.
