👈According to Haaretz, the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed, about 10 days before October 7, 2023, warned Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, that the leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, was preparing a major operation against Israel.

During a 45-minute conversation, Netanyahu responded that Hamas is focused on the West Bank and assured bin Zayed that Israel is prepared for any scenario.

Later, bin Zayed also conveyed a similar warning to William Burns, the Director of the CIA, saying: “It seems something is about to happen.”

Netanyahu did not provide a report about this warning from the UAE to the heads of Israel’s security organizations, Shin Bet, Mossad, and the Israeli army. Some senior security officials said that this information could have affected their assessment of Hamas’s intentions.

The warning came after previous warnings in September, when intermediaries passed messages from Sinwar referring to a “quaking” imminent.

Netanyahu’s office rejected the claim that the prime minister received a warning from the UAE president, bin Zayed, calling it an “outright lie.”
