I am very pleased to announce the opening of the «Spirit of 1776» exhibition at Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C. This exhibition is held in honor of the heroes and martyrs of the American Revolution. The exhibition includes a collection of statues, including a mounted horse statue of Caesar Rodney, one of the founders, 12 soldiers of the Revolution, and a collection of bas-reliefs made in memory of the martyrs of prison ships. Approximately 12,000 Americans lost their lives on these prison ships, in conditions unimaginable in terms of deprivation, filth, and disease. The number of Americans who died on these prison ships was greater than the casualties of all the battles of the war combined. Many of them endured suffering and death willingly so as not to give up on the cause of patriots. The exhibition is distinguished by a central bronze statue called «Spirit of Freedom», adorned with a victory crown and holding, with power, the Declaration of Independence and a sword pointing toward the sky. Everyone should see this new exhibition! As we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our beloved country, these statues and structures are now prominently located in the heart of our nation’s capital, as a tribute to the 250 years of victory of the American spirit, which is now stronger, bigger, and more magnificent than ever!
