💢 Afshin Khani has been appointed as the managing director of Iran Export Development Bank By an order from the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Afshin Khani was appointed as the managing director of Iran Export Development Bank and, in a ceremony attended by the Minister of Economic Affairs, took charge of leading the bank. The ceremony to honor and introduce the managing director of Iran Export Development Bank was held on Wednesday, the 10th of Tir (Tir 10), with the presence of Seyed Ali Madani-Zadeh, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, at the SPeher (Sepehr) Tower. In this ceremony, while thanking Dr. Mohsen Safi for his services as the former managing director of Iran Export Development Bank, Afshin Khani was introduced as the new managing director of the bank. Afshin Khani is one of the senior managers in the country’s banking network with more than 20 years of experience in the fields of banking, monetary and foreign exchange policies, foreign trade, and financing. Previously, he has held responsibilities including managing director and a member of the board of directors of Iran Export Development Bank, deputy for foreign exchange and a member of the board of the Islamic Republic of Iran Central Bank, deputy managing director and a member of the board of the Karafarin Bank, deputy for international affairs and a member of the board of Iran Export Development Bank, and chair of the board of directors of Sepehr Sadegh Export Exchange Company. The new managing director of Iran Export Development Bank has also held positions in domestic and international specialized bodies and forums, including the ICC Banking Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, Commerce and Development Bank (ECO), and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In addition to executive activities, he has also been active in the fields of education and research. Khani holds a PhD in Business Administration management from the University of Tehran. His record also includes teaching specialized courses in banking and international trade, authoring the book “Thematic Interpretation of the Uniform Rules on Documentary Credits (UCP600),” and holding training courses and providing specialized consultations in the fields of foreign exchange, banking, and foreign trade. Dr. Mohsen Safi, who has managed Iran Export Development Bank over the past three years, was also appointed as managing director of Iran’s National Bank by an order from the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance. 🔴
