Ahmad Vahidi, the deputy commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, was seen at the funeral prayer service for Ali Khamenei in Tehran’s prayer venue, after months away from public view. In videos released from the ceremony, Vahidi is shown wearing a hat that covers part of his face. After the killing of Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, the commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in the first hours of the 40-day war, he had appeared less in public. However, in recent days, he also attended several meetings related to the planning of Ali Khamenei’s memorial and funeral ceremony.
