The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said early on Monday, 22 Tir 1405, that it had begun a new wave of U.S. military attacks on targets in Iran; attacks that, according to accounts from citizens, were accompanied by several explosions heard in cities in southern and southwestern Iran.

At around 00:30 a.m. on Monday, CENTCOM announced that its forces had begun additional strikes against Iran from 5 p.m. on Sunday, U.S. Eastern Time.
