SpaceX sent 23 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit early Saturday from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, continuing its rapid pace of commercial launches. The mission added to the company’s expanding internet satellite network.
The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off on schedule and completed a successful first-stage recovery, with the booster landing on a droneship in the Pacific Ocean. That reusable landing remains a key part of SpaceX’s effort to reduce launch costs and increase flight frequency.
The latest launch is one more step in SpaceX’s ongoing Starlink deployment, which has become central to the company’s business and to global satellite internet coverage. Reuters reported the mission as a routine success for the private aerospace firm.
SpaceX has built its launch cadence around reusable rockets and frequent Starlink deliveries, making Vandenberg a regular site for missions from California’s coast.
