🔺Severe Collapse in Iran’s Industrial and Mining Production in Winter 1404

▪ A new report from Iran’s Statistical Center shows that the country’s industrial and mining output fell sharply in last winter.

▪ According to the figures from this government institution, Iran’s petrochemical production in last winter dropped by about 17% compared with the same season of the previous year, refrigerators by 25%, washing machines by 42%, televisions by 36%, cars by 47%, and cement by 23%. The decline in metal production has also been significant.

▪ Such a collapse in the production of industrial and mining products comes while the 39-day war with the United States and Israel began on 9 Esfand; in other words, the severe drop in the country’s industrial and mining output is rooted in challenges other than the recent war, including an energy shortfall crisis and inefficient management.
