In Iran, state TV reported that the sounds of several explosions were heard in southern areas of the country, including Bushehr, Asaluyeh, Kangan, Deyr, and Kiarak, in the early hours of Sunday in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, and said that the sound of an explosion was heard in areas where military bases and “economic facilities” are located.

The United States has announced that, in response to the latest attack by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, which resulted in the disappearance of one of its crew members, it is carrying out attacks on positions of the Islamic Republic. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also said just minutes ago that the Islamic Republic chose a bad option and would pay for it.

The IRGC had claimed that its military action against the commercial ship was a “warning shot.”
