🔸 CENTCOM: We bombed 80 targets in Iran The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced in a statement published on the social media platform X on Wednesday, 17 Tir (July 8) that it has concluded a new round of offensive attacks against Iran. According to the statement, in this operation more than 80 targets were hit using precision-guided munitions. Based on videos released on social media, the attacks were carried out in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm, and Sirik. In its statement, CENTCOM said U.S. forces "targeted Iran’s air defense systems, command-and-control networks, coastal radar sites, anti-ship missile capabilities, and more than 60 small boats belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding areas" to reduce Iran’s ability to continue attacks on international commerce in this important maritime passage. According to CENTCOM, Iran has recently attacked three commercial ships transiting through the Strait of Hormuz; including the Qatari oil tanker "Al Ruqayāt," the "MT WEDIAN" oil tanker flying the flag of Saudi Arabia, and the "MT Cyprus Prosperity" ship flying the flag of Liberia.
