CENTCOM has published an image from June 19, 2026 showing a radar-stealth F-35A Lightning II fighter jet of the U.S. Air Force being refueled by a KC135R Stratotanker air refueling aircraft of the Kansas Air National Guard above the CENTCOM area of responsibility.

U.S. forces are continuously present and ready in case of a call.
