A video released on social media shows a group of attendees at the funeral procession of Ali Khamenei, the second leader of the Islamic Republic, chanting “Bisharaf” as Abbas Araqchi, the foreign minister, passes by. In the video, several people are seen following Araqchi while holding red flags reading “Yalatharat al-Hussein.” During Ali Khamenei’s funeral procession, chants centered on “revenge” and “blood avenging” were also raised repeatedly by organizers and some of the attendees, becoming one of the main themes of the event.
